The Why
Across the country, more than 114 million people live with criminal records, locked out of stable jobs and pushed into temp work with low wages, unsafe conditions, and constant surveillance. Beyond the Bars organizes to change that. They support formerly incarcerated people with workers organizing, education, advocacy, research and support with cross movement solidarity.

THE WEBSITE
Given the importance of the fellowship program, we needed to make sure the website served as a place for people to learn more and apply. The honor of being a fellow puts you on the main site in a small database that garners more support.
